DaRSI™ - Point of Find

Finding them is only the beginning.

DaRSI™ PoF - Point of Find Scenario & Decision Training System - Find them. Assess them.  Help them.

Search & Rescue training often concentrates on everything required to locate a missing person: planning, search techniques, navigation, communications, detection and recognition.

But what happens at the Point of Find?

The missing person may be perfectly well. They may be frightened, confused, injured, hypothermic, medically unwell, experiencing a behavioural crisis, in cardiac arrest, or suspected deceased.

The search team has to recognise what they have found, assess the situation, make decisions, communicate, request appropriate resources and determine what happens next.

DaRSI™ PoF - Point of Find has been developed to bring that next phase of the search into the exercise.

Once the DaRSI™ is located, the associated PoF scenario identifies the condition in which that missing person has been found.

Now your search exercise doesn't have to finish with: "MisPer located.”

Instead, the find creates the next operational phase:

FIND → ASSESS → RECOGNISE → ACT → ESCALATE → EXTRACT / HANDOVER

That means a single DaRSI™ can represent dozens of different Point of Find outcomes without changing the physical training aid.
